Master Plan Update - 2008

A primary objective of the 2008 Master Plan Update for Ƶ is to unify the campus by overcoming the physical barriers that presently separate the North, South and Athletic Campuses. The plan is meant to be a flexible document that provides a general roadmap for the University to set and meet its physical growth and development goals over the next 25 years.

The most important campus concepts recommended in this plan include:

  • Moving vehicular circulation to the outer edges of campus
  • Providing pedestrian bridges to connect the campus and creating “gateway” entrances to the campus.
  • Reinforcing existing and creating new pedestrian linkages within the core.
  • Developing the existing athletic complex.

These concepts, coupled with the other building and site recommendations in this plan, help insure that Ƶ will not only grow but thrive during the 21st century.
