Global Agriculture Programs

Global Agriculture Programs is dedicated to connecting ³ûÄñÊÓƵ (³ûÄñÊÓƵ) students and faculty in the College of Agriculture, Community and the Sciences (CACS) to the world with opportunities for global learning, discovery, and engagement. Furthermore, the programs build partnerships between CACS and global partners. The mission of Global Agriculture Programs is to incorporate an international dimension into the traditional land-grant responsibilities of teaching, research, and outreach, to ensure the global competitiveness of our students.

We support the internationalization efforts of the CACS and ³ûÄñÊÓƵ by engaging faculty and students in international research, extension, and learning. We accomplish this through study abroad opportunities, faculty and student exchange, and international collaboration on research projects.

Our Global Agriculture Programs thrive on collaboration, and we welcome new opportunities for partnership and all international scholars (link to international visiting scholars). Our Programs is pleased to invite you to join or visit ³ûÄñÊÓƵ either to lecture, for training, for research collaboration, or for a degree program. As visiting exchange student, we will do what we can to make your stay happy and productive.

Resources for Faculty and Students

As a land-grant institution, ³ûÄñÊÓƵ faculty and students earn many opportunities offered by USDA. For example, the Center for International Programs provides advice on including opportunities for global engagement in NIFA’s grant programs for US institutions. The International Agriculture Certificate provides the opportunity to expand your global perspective by participating in internationally focused coursework, language studies and a hands-on international internship that fits your academic and career goals.
